This competition is operated by Bath Spa University, Newton Park, Newton St Loe, Bath, BA2 9BN.

  • This competition is open to entrants over the age of 13. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must seek permission from a parent or guardian to enter, and must be accompanied to the event should they win.
  • Employees of the University, their family members, or anyone else connected in any way with the creation/implementation of the competition will not be permitted to enter.
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  • The competition will commence at 12:00 GMT on Friday 5 May 2017 and it will close at 12:00 GMT on Monday 15 May 2017. The University accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, ineligible, corrupted or fail to be submitted by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Entries via agents or third parties are invalid.
  • All entries will be reviewed before they are approved to appear in the competition gallery for voting purposes. Images or comments of an obscene nature will be rejected from the competition. The University’s decision is final.
  • To enter, entrants must post to Instagram a photo or video clip of themselves (and others) jumping, with a brief caption including the hashtag #JumpInWin
  • The winner will be the person who has received the most likes for their Instagram photo or video at the time of closing the completion. Votes can be cast on photos each day of the contest; however, each photo or video can receive a maximum of one vote per day.
  • The University will confirm the winner privately via Instagram (where the winner follows the University’s account) to arrange delivery of their prize, before publicly confirming the result. In the event of the winner not following the University’s account, the winning announcement will be posted as a comment on the photo/video. The winner will be confirmed by 5pm on Monday 15 May 2017
  • The University reserves the right to disqualify entrants where it detects abnormal voting activity, or the use of apps to manipulate the results.
  • The prize for the winner is a pair of front row tickets to Mary Berry at The Bath Festival (11:00 – 12:00 20 May 2017 at The Forum, Bath) and a signed copy of Mary Berry’s new book “Mary Berry Everyday”.
  • In the event the winner cannot attend the event on the 20 May 2017, the full prize of the tickets and book will be re-allocated to the person with the second highest total number of likes; and so on until the prize is claimed.
  • The winner will have 48 hours to claim their prize before it is reallocated to the next winning entrant.
  • The University’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winner cannot transfer the prize to another person without express permission of the University. No cash alternative will be offered.
  • Prize is subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the University reserves the right (a) to substitute with an alternative prize of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the competition without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner and any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.
  • By entering this competition each entrant confirms that their submissions are their wholly-owned creations and that, to the extent that such entries make use of any third-party materials, these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.
  • By submitting an entry, each entrant grants the University a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented.
  • Each entrant also confirms that anyone depicted in an entry has given their permission for the inclusion of their image in the entry and the use of the entry including their image by the entrant and the University.
  • To obtain details of the winners, please email socialmedia@bathspa.ac.uk stating the name of the competition in the subject heading 4 weeks after the closing date.
  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your submission to Bath Spa University and not to any other party.
  • These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
