Our Partnerships in Education
Wessex Partnership
As part of its widening participation activities, and to underline its regional role, Bath Spa University has formed partnerships with several regional further education colleges.
At many of our Wessex Partnership colleges students are able to take vocationally-based Foundation degrees. Generally students spend both years at the college (though there are some exceptions to this, and these are explained on the relevant course pages). There is then the possibility to 'top up' to the third year of an associated honours degree course at Bath Spa University.
In addition, some Wessex Partnership colleges give students the opportunity of studying locally for the first year of a Combined Award, and on successful completion transfer for Years 2 and 3 at Bath Spa University.
Opportunities such as induction days and summer schools are provided during this first year in order to help students make the transition.

Bath Spa University School of Education has a number of highly valued partnerships with schools that are integral to the development of new teachers and to enhancing the quality of the teaching profession.
