National Express coaches travel to Bath and Chippenham from many major cities in the UK.  You can contact their ticket booking line on 08705 808080.

First Bus operate services into Bath and Chippenham from locations as far afield as Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Bristol.

For Newton Park, Sion Hill and Culverhay Campuses in Bath

Bath City Centre to Newton Park Campus

First Bus operate the Bright Orange Buses, which run between Bath city centre and the Newton Park campus every 20 minutes during term-time.  Services 418 and 419 to Newton Park leave from Broad Quay/Green Park Road (stop Ww), 200m from the railway station (turn left onto Dorchester Street and follow the line of the river):

Articulated, "bendy buses" carry 140 people. Please move down the bus to the back when you board and don't obstruct entry or exit doors.

The Corston driveway will be closed for maintenance to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 25 August to the 6 September 2010.  As a result, the 418 bus will terminate at the Globe roundabout bus-stop, where passengers can change onto a minibus service that will run them up to the campus via the village of Newton St Loe.  This minibus will run according to the following timetable:

Monday to Saturday
The Globe - Depart: 09:08h 10:08h ...then hourly until... 18:08h
Bath Spa - Depart: 08:13h 09:13h ...then hourly until... 18:13h
Sundays
The Globe - Depart: 09:58h 10:58h ...then hourly until... 17:58h
Bath Spa - Depart: 09:03h 10:03h ...then hourly until... 18:03h

First Bus also operate services 337 and X39 between the bus station in Bath City Centre and the Globe roundabout.  From there, it is an easy 20 minute walk up the driveway to the Newton Park campus.

Bath City Centre to Sion Hill Campus

For those studying at the Sion Hill campus, First Bus operate service number 2 leaving from the Ambury (stop Wq), off Broad Quay, which drops off at the junction of Lansdown Road and Sion Road.  Pedestrians are advised against walking up Winifreds Lane, dues to safety concerns.  They should instead enter via the main gates on Sion Hill Place.

Bath City Centre to Culverhay Campus

Uni Connect operate service number 20a/c that runs from Bath city centre, through Oldfield Park, Twerton, Whiteway, Southdown (close to the Infant and Junior Schools), past Culverhay campus and onto the University of Bath.  You can also catch the number 10 bus, which travels between the bus station and Englishcombe Lane (a two minutes walk from the school).

For Corsham Court Campus

First Bus service number 231/232 runs between Bath and Chippenham via Corsham.  The closest bus stop to Corsham Court is Newlands Road, and from there it's just a short walk to the mansion house.

Faresaver operate service number X31, which runs half hourly from Bath Bus Station to Corsham.
