Bath Spa University is joining forces with the University of Bath to help people in the South West with questions about student finances and the new 2012 higher education fee and funding arrangements. The two universities are holding an information evening on 14 November between 7 and 9pm at the Newton Park campus of Bath Spa University.
The free event supports a national campaign led by the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance dedicated to explaining the 2012 changes to student finance in England. The event will help to ensure people understand how the new student finance package works. There are also presentations on other areas of student finance, such as local university financial support, Government Student Support loans and grants, and how to budget at university.
The event is for students, parents, carers, teachers and careers advisers who would like to know more about student finances and there is an opportunity to meet and talk to local experts. Speakers will include admissions staff, money advisers and Student Ambassadors from the University of Bath and Bath Spa University. There will also be a finance quiz for students with Amazon vouchers as prizes.
