Professor Frank Morgan, who retired as Bath Spa University Vice-Chancellor in December 2011, has received an OBE for services to Higher Education. The New Year honours list accolade follows 15 years in the post of the University’s Vice-Chancellor and 25 years' service at the University.
Professor Morgan's retirement follows a career of very significant accomplishment, steering the then Bath College of Higher Education to University College status in 1999 and University title in 2005.
In his final year as Vice-Chancellor he worked hard to deliver a real momentum for the University to ensure its future prosperity. His final project for the University saw him signing a contract that would see a major new academic development in the heart of Newton Park campus. The new building will transform facilities for staff and students.
