The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer

About: Nathan Filer graduated from the MA Creative Writing in 2010 and now teaches here. Nathan had a runaway success with his debut novel winning Costa Book of the Year for 2014 and Costa First Book. It was also longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize and International Impac Dublin Literary Award 2015.

The Tale of Raw Head and Bloody Bones by Jack Wolf

About: Bath Spa University Creative Writing PhD student Jack Wolf was named winner of the First Novel Award for his book The Tale of Raw Head and Bloody Bones.

All the Birds Singing by Evie Wyld

About: Alumna Evie Wyld was named as one of the eight winners of the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize for All the Birds Singing. Evie continued her run of critically acclaimed success winning the Miles Franklin Literary Award 2014, Australia's highest profile fiction prize, against a strong field.
