From the Ground: Mandy Bonnell and James Brooks

Saturday 5 May, 2018 – Thursday 28 June, 2018
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Bridge House, 10 Stallard Street, Trowbridge, BA14 9AE

Bath Spa Creative Arts tutors Mandy Bonnell and James Brooks open a joint exhibition at Drawing Projects UK in Trowbridge next month.

From the Ground includes an artist’s book by Mandy Bonnell, Eloise Butler's Wildflower Garden, and a number of works by James Brooks that explore the geography and geometry of civic spaces in towns and cities across Europe. Both pieces aim to explore a shared common ground of geography and the intimacy of mark.

Eloise Butler's Wildflower Garden was produced in response to Eloise Butler's Wildflower Garden in Minneapolis and the three concertina sections - Flora, Flower and Fleuron - will be fully displayed for the first time.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of artist-led drawing sessions and discussions - including Emma Hill of the Eagle Gallery EMH Arts, and a poetry reading by Gabriel Gbadamosi.

Open Saturdays 1-4pm and by appointment.

Preview: Saturday 5 May, 5-7pm
