My name is Michele and I am passionate about neuroscience, particularly how mathematical and computer models can be applied to better understand the functioning of the human brain. This interest initially led me to undertake a Master's degree in cognitive neuroscience at University College London.
After this, I decided to enrol as a contract student at the department of data science and knowledge engineering at the University of Maastricht, where I am improving my mathematical and computer programming skills. Eventually, I would like to pursue a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, where I will be able to apply my quantitative skills to researching brain functions.

Michele's story
I had a great experience with all Bath Spa staff that I have encountered, from the lectures to the people working at the cafés or in the offices. Bath Spa, with its amazing campus, is able to create a unique environment, where everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I also loved the possibility of walking in the surrounding countryside after a lecture and going to have lunch at the nearby local farm. I also think I will never forget my fresher's week, where the student union organised amazing parties, where I was able to meet so many other students, with whom I remained friends for all the three years.

Why did you choose Bath Spa?
I really liked how the course at Bath Spa covered all the most fundamental aspects of Psychology, providing solid bases in the field for any successive career path.
