The Model Publication Scheme for Education - Universities (.pdf) states that information in this class is to be available at least for the current and previous three years. Any other reports or recorded information demonstrating the university's planned or actual performance should normally be included.
Annual Report
The University does not publish an annual report but issues, via our website, Financial Statements detailing our activities.
Corporate and Business Plans
Our Mission Statement and our Strategic Plan are published on our website.
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Our learning and teaching strategy and periodic reviews of progress are published on our website.
Academic Quality and Standards
Our Quality and Standards group publish our Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures on their website. The University is also subject to periodic scrutiny by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for its Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funded programmes, Office for Standards in Education (OfSTED) for its Training Development Agency (TDA) funded programmes, and their reports can be viewed on their own websites.
External Review Information
Our courses, teaching and admissions procedures are reviewed by the Quality Assurance Agency and Office for Standards in Education. The resulting reports can be found on their websites.
Corporate Relations
It is useful to consider our corporate links with employers on the basis of "curriculum", "extra-curriculum" and "commercial". More detailed information for these three areas can be requested from our Information Officer.
Curriculum:
- Employers and industry representatives involved on a consultation basis throughout the redevelopment of the undergraduate modular scheme (e.g. list available from Academic Office);
- Employers invited to run day-long (or more) master-classes, residencies or industry advice events (e.g. Design professionals, Music producers);
- Employers and professionals as guest speakers and mentors to students;
- As hosts to placements and work-based learning providers;
- As clients on industry projects (e.g. Bristol City Council);
- Businesses providing post-graduation support or incubation facilities for graduates.
- Associations and industry bodies providing course accreditation:
- Undergraduate BSc (Hons) Psychology is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Undergraduate BSc (Hons) Food, Nutrition and Consumer Protection is accredited by the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST), UK for its membership purposes.
Extra-curriculum:
- Presenters on extra-curricular workshops and events (e.g. Public Sector, Civil Service, BBC, Virgin Mobile);
- Participants at employer events such as careers fairs (e.g. Transport for London, Hays, NHS, Ordnance Survey);
- Providers of placement and mentoring opportunitities.
Commercial:
- Providers of training and CPD to businesses (e.g. Bespoke training for business or networks, Apple training);
- Provision of services and consultancy (e.g. Job Centre Plus, Sector Skills Councils).

We provide reports to the following public bodies:

Some reports we are obliged to submit to keep funding, but are not strictly legal requirements. These reports may be obtained from our Information Officer.
