Studentships cover tuition fees for three years full time study at Home/EU rates, an annual stipend of £20,000 and an opportunity to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant which allows you to carry out up to 6 hours of teaching and teaching support each week in term-time, in areas relating to the field of education.
Our PhD studentship will support you in planning and developing your career.
You will work with academic staff in a range of teaching, learning and assessment activities to support student learning. Teaching will be paid at current University Postgraduate Teaching Student hourly rates. In addition, you will be expected to gain HEA accreditation (AFHEA) through the University’s Certificate in Professional Learning in Higher Education, a practice-based course which requires a minimum of 20 hours teaching over the 2 years part-time study period.
