Henrietta Scholes Bath School of Art and Design 2011 graduate won the New Designers Graham & Brown Award for her work which is inspired by the concept of creating a ‘new lace.’ With beautiful and enchanting textiles, her work plays with the qualities of light, transparency and the layering of white on white surfaces.

Posts from Henrietta's blog:

'New Designers came and passed at the beginning of July and was very successful for all of the Bath School of Art and Design - both Textiles and Ceramics. The stands looked great and really stood out! I had a wonderful time and was very lucky to be awarded the prestigious Graham and Brown award for my lace wallpaper design. I won £1,000 and a placement at their studio which I have just arranged to complete at the beginning of September.  Their designs are lovely and I'm really looking forward to visiting the studio, there is even a chance they may select one of my designs whilst I'm there for a future collection, so very exciting stuff!'

'London Design Week was amazing and I had a great time showing at Tent. Very long days standing up though... I must invest in a chair if I exhibit there next year! My work was well received and it is always nice to hear people saying lovely things about my work! I have also been lucky enough to have my work on the House and Garden blog... take a look! Now I just need to decide what to do now...'
