If you want to develop your own research, you'll need to find an academic who is willing to supervise you. You'll need to contact and secure a potential research supervisor before you make your application with us.
You don't need a supervisor if you apply for our University-led programmes, as you'll be assigned a supervisory team.

Higher Degrees Tutors support research students, their supervisors, and postgraduate research activity. They link you with your supervisor, School and the Graduate College. In addition to your supervisor, they're your first point of contact if you experience any issues with your studies.
