2010 Safeguarding Children Conference

This conference was a milestone in the development of Bath Spa University's integrated Child Protection programme. We welcome the endorsement that Sir Roger Singleton (Chief Safeguarding Adviser to the Government) gave at our previous conference in January 2010.

This was the second in a series of conferences to trace the development of the programme and to give the opportunity to share our thinking about three areas: Safeguarding Disabled Children, Child exploitation on the internet and Questioning Skills for Professionals talking with adults.

Our Safeguarding initiative is a collaborative effort between the University and the multi-agency community in the public, independent and voluntary sectors. It is part of our commitment to developing their social care learning platform. Interest in the programme has developed across the wider children's workforce.
