BSU Partnership with Schools

The School of Education values highly its long term relationships and work with school partners and their communities. The partnership represents a strong community of learners that is characterised by a commitment to raising standards and sharing best practice. Together we support the development of new teachers and enhance the quality of the teaching profession. The partnership places pupils' learning at the centre of a model of practice and aspires to:

The partnership remains central to the way we define and support the professional development of our teachers; it will continue to shape the future direction of the Bath Spa Initial Teacher Education programme.

The ‘A Way Forward’ document has recently been sent to your school. This document outlines the vision and strategy for our ITE partnership with schools. If you have not yet seen this document in school please take a few moments to download it from Quick Links.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The University can support schools in all phases in the provision of high quality continuing professional development. This may take the form of courses which individual teachers may wish to attend, programmes which support whole school development plans, curriculum development projects, or large scale projects involving groups of schools.

Further Information

Further information about the partnership is set out in the partnership handbooks and partnership agreements which can be found by clicking on General Information about Partnership under Quick Links.
