Outline Plans

ALL PROPOSERS MUST SIGNIFY TO ACADEMIC SERVICES BY MID DECEMBER THEIR INTENTION TO SUBMIT AN OUTLINE PLAN IN 2011/12

Outline plans are considered by the Vice-Chancellor or nominee (up to March during the academic year preceding the academic year the course is intended to commence; this is to ensure proposals are considered prior to budget-setting.

Full details of the process for Outline Plans can be found in the Course Planning & Approval Handbook (section 1), please see the A-Z page for this document: Outline plans should be submitted to Di Walters, Quality Management Officer, who will circulate for consultation and approval to the relevant stakeholders listed below:

Stakeholder Responsibility
Director of Student Services and Registrar To ensure timetabling issues are covered and that there are strong links with UCAS
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategy) To confirm numbers are available
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance and Resources) Regarding anticipated set-up and running costs
 Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) To ensure coherence with the academic portfolio of the University
Director of Library Services Regarding anticipated resource implications for library stock
Head of Marketing and Communication For market research purposes
