Environmental Steering Group
What Is The ESG?
The Environmental Steering Group, or ESG as it is known, is a group set up to enable the University to effectively address the environmental challenges it faces. The ESG will oversee progress towards achievement of EcoCampus and ISO 14001 accreditation.
The Group is made up of staff working in different parts of the University as well as student representatives. The ESG meets once every two months to discuss relevant environmental issues, and to direct the University's actions in tackling them.
Who Is Involved?
ESG members include:
- Dr Alun Thomas - Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chair of ESG;
- Arlene Stone - Head of Human Resources;
- Carolyn Puddicombe - Director of Estates;
- David Watson - Deputy Head of School, School of Science and Environment;
- Jon Brady - Director of Finance and Resources;
- Martin Sandbrook - Lecturer, School of Science and Environment;
- Ola Bankole - Environment Officer;
- Olivia Preston - Environmental Support Officer;
- Tessa Alton - Head of Marketing and Communications;
- Tim Holden - Students' Union Membership Services Officer;
- Sam Moreton - Students' Union Representative (Environment and Ethics Group).
