1.4 - Health And Safety Induction Process

First Day

After the line manager has welcomed a new employee to the Department or School and introduced them to immediate colleagues. The line-manager should show them their immediate work environment and provide the following health and safety information:

Employees should be given further health and safety information as follows:

Within Three Months

All employees will attend a formal University induction course, part of which will include a health and safety information pack. Topics covered will be of a generic nature which apply throughout the University:

The pack includes a Declaration form which should be signed and returned to the SHE Office once the course has been completed.
