1.1 Safety Management System
Bath Spa University is required to comply with health and safety legislation. A safety management system has been established to ensure that all the key elements of a successful health and safety management system are in place. The key elements are policy, organisation, planning and implementation, measuring performance, reviewing performance and auditing. This is presented in this diagram.
The commitment of the University is expressed in the following:
- Health and Safety Policy Statement
- Codes of Practice and Guidance
- The arrangements for the proper control of the risks that arise from the activities involving staff, students and others on the premises of the University and during off site activities under the auspices of the University.
