Policy on Telephone Calls
Calls using the University Telephone System
The University system is provided for business use. However, calls home to confirm late working or other unplanned business events will be treated as business calls. In addition, private use of the University telephone is permitted free of charge in special circumstances, for example, family accident/illness or other similar situations.
Other personal calls may be made through the University telephone system but only by using personal credit cards or telephone charge cards. Such calls should be made outside working hours.
