What Is JOBS@bathspa?
JOBS@bathspa is a student employment service based on campus. Please note that the service is open term time only.
How Does JOBS@bathspa work?
- We offer a free service to help you fill your part time and vacation vacancies;
- We advertise your vacancies for students to view from our website, JOBS@bathspa notice boards;
- Only registered students can access your company details and apply;
Hours
As a guide, we recommend that full time students work no more than 15 hours per week during term time to allow for their academic studies.
However, we may have part time students or postgraduates who have more free time to work longer hours. You could also consider the possibility of dividing a full time vacancy into two or more part time jobs.
Filling Your Vacancy
We will need you to register online: You will need to create an account following the instructions in the 'Register' section of the page. If you are a member of staff wanting to register an internal vacancy log in following the online link above.
In September 2009 we introduced a highly successful enhanced service to help you to recruit students even more effectively, particularly for positions which you need to fill rapidly or for those you'd like to open up to all students not just those registered with the Job Shop. On a first-come first -served basis we invite you to have your job designated "Hot Job of The Week", the details of which will be included in the latest edition of the Bath Spa Careers/Job Shop e-bulletin distributed to over 6,000 students. This option is available at a cost of £50 +VAT. Please indicate on the vacancy form if you would like to take up this additional service.

We offer a specialised service to recruitment agencies for which we make a small charge of £50 +VAT per academic year (Sept to June). For this one off charge you will be able to:
- Advertise an unlimited number of vacancies throughout the year on our website
- Display one A3 or A4 poster on our job shop office notice board to advertise your agency throughout the year
- Have your literature promoted by job shop staff to students interested in finding work with an agency
- One email per year promoting one of your vacancies as “Hot Job of the week” which would be included in the latest edition of the Job Shop/Careers e-bulletin distributed to all 6,000 students at Bath Spa University during term time which would help you to recruit students even more effectively, particularly for positions which you need to fill rapidly or for those you’d like to open up to all students – not just those registered with the Job Shop.
