Worked for The Jane Austen Centre Bath
I've worked in the Jane Austen Centre Tea Rooms for the last 3 years whilst at BSU which has been a brilliant experience. The job is great as you have a go at everything-preparation, waiting tables and till work. I've gained a lot from working there in terms of my self-confidence and people skills. Speaking to customers is an enjoyable part of the job I'm not an expert on Jane Austen but it's useful to be able to relate to the variety of people/foreign tourists who visit. It's a great team, there are 6 BSU students working there so it's very student friendly. I've been able to fit the work around my studies with such a flexible employer. As I aim to use my education degree to find an Education Officer role in a Museum/art centre, this experience will enhance my CV.
