Kevin Payne
MA IN INTERACTION DESIGN 2007 to 2008
Worked for Riva Publishing
Kevin started working for Riva in Sept 2007, primarily working on the company's website, adding content and sometimes changing the layout of pages. He also worked on other small graphic design projects. The role did become more varied as time went on and he was given more responsibility to work on different design related projects.
As a BSU multi media graduate he already had strong software skills but his knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop improved and Kevin learnt Quark in a very short space of time, a program he had not used before.
Kevin thought that his part time degree-related job has helped him for the future he states that as
the design industry is competitive, working in a hands on environment where you are able to put your skills to use while working to deadlines can only be a good experience and benefits the CV. Having finished my MA I am currently working as a designer and administrator in Bristol.
