Archival Sound Recordings

This British Library service provides online access to oral histories, interviews with artists and designers, unpublished ethnographic material, classical, jazz and popular music recordings and environmental sounds.

There are about 4,000 hours of audio material available which is only a small representative sample and more will be added by the British Library as soon as possible. Images and transcripts also enhance the content.  You can both listen to and download the recordings.
