IBSS (International Bibliography of the Social Sciences)

The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences covers both books and journal articles in the areas of economics, politics, sociology and anthropology. Records date back to 1981 and are updated weekly.  IBSS indexes some 2600 journals and 6000 books each year and over 30% of the references are in languages other than English.

This service does not provide full text although many entries include abstracts. You will need to check the Library catalogue and/or journals web pages to find out whether a particular book or journal is held. If it is not, you may want to apply via interlibrary loans for a copy.
