Education Service

This service from Dialog provides access to three databases which can be searched singly or all together:

• British Education Index: compiled by the University of Leeds, this gives access to bibliographic references from some 350 British and selected European English-language journals since 1976;
• ERIC: the Educational Resources and Information Center of the US Department of Education indexes over 770 journals and ERIC currently contains over 750,000 records from 1966 onwards, making it the largest educational database in the world;
• Australian Education Index: compiled by the Australian Centre for Educational Research, this provides access to some 120,000 records added since 1979.

Important Notes

This database does not provide full text though many entries include abstracts. You will need to check the Library catalogue and/or the journals web pages to find out whether a particular book or journal is held. If not, you may want to apply via interlibrary loans for a copy.
