PAO contains the backfiles of 80 journals and some 288,000 articles in the arts, social sciences and humanities, published between 1891 and 2000.  Examples of journals included are:

The service now also includes access to British Periodicals Online, providing access to hundreds of periodicals from the late seventeenth century to the early twentieth, comprising millions of high-resolution facsimile page images.
