Finding journals

Journals are the academic equivalent of magazines.  They are published regularly and cover the latest research, discoveries and writing in their field.  The Library subscribes to the printed version of several hundred titles and provides electronic access to many more.  There are two ways of finding journals that we have:

• You can search the Library catalogue to find the printed journals we have a subscription to
• You can search or browse our electronic journals, which provide full-text articles for online research

We have access to some 13,000 journal titles in total - well worth exploring!  To access many of the electronic journals and services off campus, you will need your Bath Spa username/password.

Access problems with EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service

We are currently unable to provide off-campus access to this particular database. However, all the e-journals in EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service should be accessible off-campus via the separate database called E-Journals. If you find a useful e-journal via our our electronic journals search engine, and access isn't working via EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service, please try noting down all the relevant information and searching in E-Journals. E-books have now been integrated into the library catalogue.  Use the Advanced search option Search for E-books.
