ICT facilities (open access computers)

Open access computing facilities are provided and run by Computing Services.

Newton Park

Within the Library at Newton Park, there are a number of Computer Rooms on the first floor, including a Short Stay Room for quick emails or searches.  All computers are linked to the University network and to the Internet.  The other rooms are occasionally used for training but notices will be posted on the doors ahead of these times.

Laser printing can be done via the network and costs 5p per A4 sheet  and 10p per A3 sheet for black and white prints and 30p per A4 sheet and 60p per A3 sheet for colour.  Your print account can be topped up using the Value Loader in the Short Stay Room.

There are also computer rooms in Corston, Compton and Stanton Buildings which can be used for open access when not timetabled for teaching.  Laser printing is available via the network. There is no weekend opening of these rooms at present.

Sion Hill

In the Library at Sion Hill, there is access to the electronic services via the computers in the foyer area.
