Services to Masters & PMP students
If you are a Wessex Partnership student or tutor, there is a separate web page detailing library services available to you.
If you are a student on any of the above courses, you are entitled to full membership of Bath Spa University Library for the duration of your course. This entitles you to the same loan allocations and other library services as equivalent full-time students and staff.
Library cards
Library cards are valid for the duration of the course, module or unit for which you have registered and paid a fee.
Renewals
Loans may be renewed up to 10 times by telephone or through the Library catalogue unless
- any fines or other debts are outstanding
- borrowing rights have been withdrawn for any reason
- a hold has been put on the item by another borrower when the loan(s) should be returned to the Library as soon as possible.
Interlibrary loans
Details of the ILL service are on our web pages. To comply with current copyright law we require your written signature on requests, therefore we are unable to provide an online form for you to make your requests electronically. If you would like to have blank request forms posted to you, contact us by e-mail, indicating if you are requesting forms for books or articles.

Masters and PMP students may choose to have articles requested via interlibrary loan posted to their home address.
Enquiries
If possible, library staff will answer brief telephone enquiries, such as checking if a particular item is on the catalogue.
Electronic services
The Library subscribes to a growing number of electronic services, most of which can be accessed from home or work. To access off campus, you will need your Bath Spa username and password.
However, we regret that:
- books (from our own stock or borrowed on interlibrary loan) cannot be posted to borrowers
- Library staff cannot collect books from the shelves and store them for collection
- we cannot undertake lengthy telephone enquiries or check reading lists

When you phone the Library, have your student ID number ready and be prepared to give a phone number where you can be contacted if there is a problem. Telephone renewals can only be dealt with during Library opening hours when library staff are on duty.
