Fire and Emergency
- In the event of a fire, a continuous alarm will ring. Do not use the lifts when you hear the alarm.
- Newton Park Library has designated refuge areas on the stair case landings in the IT suite and in the New Wing. There is an evacuation chair on each landing and a number of library staff have been trained to use them.
- If you have difficulty using stairs, make your way to one of the designated refuge points where you will be protected by fire doors until Fire or Security Officers reach you.
- If you would have difficulty leaving a building unaided or hearing the alarm, please contact Disability Support (studentsupport@bathspa.ac.uk) who will arrange for you to have your own Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan.
- Sion Hill Library has a level exit.
Any suggestions for improving services to disabled users will be most welcome.
