Work Placements

Bath Spa University recognises that gaining professional work experience alongside academic study is important to help a student increase their employment prospects. 

Students studying at Bath Spa University have a variety of options to gain professional experience, whether it is as part of their course or on an extra-curricular basis.  

We support students to find work placements – helping to identify their career aspirations, advising on their CVs and applications, as well as working with employers to secure opportunities for our students. 

Careers advisers are on hand to support students, whilst our Employer Liaison team actively work with employers to generate opportunities for our students to gain invaluable professional experience. 

Bath Spa University Careers will:

• Help students identify what they want

• Liaise with employers on their behalf

• Run pre-and-post placement meetings, so that students get the most from the experience

• Equip students with the ability to reflect on their experiences to better understand themselves, their interests, skills, and unique qualities.
