Ecumenical Chaplaincy and World Faith Contacts
Bath Spa welcomes students of all faiths and none.
The Student Support Service can provide you with contact details for people and places of your faith in the Bath and Bristol area and works to build good relations with them.
If you need further information about any of these contacts or they don't meet your needs, then email: studentsupport@bathspa.ac.uk.
The University Christian Chaplaincy
Welcome to the Christian Chaplaincy at Bath Spa University.
We hope the Chaplaincy can provide a spiritual home at the University.
The Chaplaincy team works alongside the support structures at the University to make the student experience more fulfilling
The University Chaplaincy offers a place where staff and students can talk in confidence about any spiritual issue. It also offers guidance on where to worship within the city of Bath and its surrounding areas.
For those new to faith, for those with no faith or for those with questions, here at the chaplaincy you’ll find people who will listen, who won’t judge, but who will offer support.
Introducing the Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy provides a unique, confidential space where worshippers and inquirers of all faiths can come and chat and spend time working through any issue they may have.
The chaplaincy is staffed by a number of chaplains.
There are chaplains from the Anglican, Catholic and Methodist faith.
The chaplains have information about religious activity within the City and beyond. They are available every Wednesday lunchtime during term time and are always willing to talk things over in a relaxed atmosphere, often over a cup of coffee. All are welcome to use this service regardless of religious belief or background.
Weekly Soup Lunch
Every Thursday lunch time you will find the chaplains serving soup, cheese and bread in the student union. On a cold, wet day, it provides a welcome meal. But, you need to get there early, as its popularity means that we quickly sell out! All the profits from this goes to Wateraid. Last year raised over £1000.

Prayer and Spirituality
The Chaplaincy team places much importance on prayer. This is done both privately or publically. We’re always happy to pray with someone or on behalf of that person.
Our regular prayer for the students is that all will succeed and when times are tough and pressures great, that they may find encouragement and support.
