Parents and Supporters

There are a number of professional services at Bath Spa University which help students get the most out of their time at University. the different services are able to provide advice, guidance and information on a range of different matters, such as; admissions, timetables, registration, studying abroad, medical service, finances (including government student funding and other entitlements), fees, money to help in an emergency, disability and learning support, mental and physical well-being, employability, careers and placement opportunities.

Bath Spa University understands the critical role parents and supporters have in encouraging the success of 'your' student and the following clarifies the context in which the University works.

Data Protection and Confidentiality

All aspects of the University's work comply with the Data Protection Act, which means that students' personal data cannot be disclosed to any third party, (including parents and supporters) unless the student has given their permission. This includes information about whether a student is registered with BSU, attendance, marks and grades. BSU staff can advise you on situations which do not require the disclosure of personal data and can explain the University's policies and procedures.
