Peer Mentor Scheme

What is the Peer Mentor Scheme?

Bath Spa University Peer Mentors are current students who volunteer and are fully trained to provide appropriate and informal support to other students. Graphic of people working togetherPeer Mentors are well placed to help other students, as they know what it's really like being a student at BSU!

Peer Mentors receive training from Student Service professionals and are actively supported throughout their time of volunteering. It is an excellent opportunity for students to develop existing and learn new skills and to enhance their employability prospects.

Peer Mentors are well informed about the University and will help students access appropriate support or advice, if needed.

All new students starting at the University will be paired with a Peer Mentor before they arrive . Your Peer Mentor will be able to answer questions you may have about starting at university, such as, where's the best place to eat out, how often do the buses go, do I need to bring a kettle..?

Your Peer Mentor will be in touch with you a few weeks before the start of the academic year by email, to say hello and introduce themselves.
