Independent houses

independent housing

Bath Spa University secures 141 spaces for first year students to live in the private rented sector. The houses are in popular student areas of Bath, close to local amenities, near good bus routes and are accredited by the local housing authority.

The Bath Spa University student housing team has longstanding links with two local letting agencies in Bath, who let the independent houses to first year students. All the first year independent houses have been inspected by a member of the student housing team.

This is a popular option for students who prefer to live independently and in smaller groups. This is also the best option for students who wish to bring their cars, as students living in halls of residence are not permitted to bring cars with them in their first year. Four to six first year students live together in independent housing. The student housing team group students together by looking at personal interests, hobbies and ages.
