The Students' Union forms the hub of social activity on campus. The SU has a 30 station fitness gym, and there are sports pitches on-site for rugby, football and hockey. Many of the University's sports clubs are affiliated with local clubs in the community (a good way of getting to know the locals). Sports clubs are open to all students and there are 12 teams competing regularly.
The Students' Union is run by the students, for the students - you automatically become a member for free. Should you wish not to be a member, you can opt-out as part of the annual registration process and you can still use all the facilities, services and activities including joining clubs and societies, but you will not be able to take part in the democratic processes of the Union.
The Student's Union website is packed full of information about exciting volunteering oppertunities, facilities available to Bath Spa students, and how you, as students, are represented by your Students' Union.
