Nursery team
Oak Tree Day Nursery boasts a close knit team of nursery practitioners and Forest School leaders.
Our nursery practitioners are dedicated to providing a stimulating, engaging, motivating and caring environment for children to grow, learn and develop in. Children and their families are very important to us and we value and respect their views.
All practitioners have the experience and/or qualification suitable for their role and duties. All practitioners at the nursery hold a full and relevant childcare qualification and hold a valid first aid certificate.
Practitioners are trained in the following areas:
- Safeguarding children (child protection)
- Basic Food Hygiene
- Makaton
- Forest School
Managers ensure that practitioners are kept up to date with childcare practices by producing annual training and development plans.
The nursery has a Special Needs Co-ordinator, a Child Protection Co-ordinator and an Equality and Diversity Co-ordinator. To ensure that these roles and Nursery policies and procedures are fulfilled to their full potential, co-ordinators attend regular training events and cluster meetings provided by the Local Authority.
