Employer in the Foyer
Our exhibiting opportunity for employers--bring on the freebies!
With over 1,000 square metres of learning facilities, our Commons building is a central, high-footfall location in which you can set up your stand to promote your organisation and job opportunities. This drop-in format provides a more informal one-to-one interaction and helps to capture the attention of a wider range of students.
Lead a masterclass on entering and succeeding in your industry, or share your expertise on your recruitment process and how to stand out from the crowd.
Delivering a mock interview or assessment centre (online or in person) is another great way to generate interest in your business, and influence the quality of your future job applications.
Workfest is a series of events designed to inspire and engage students of all degree disciplines and year groups to be able to explore their options after University.
We are always looking for employers to deliver sessions or to share their work experience as part of this event series, which takes place three times a year in the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
Sector Specific Fairs and Panels
As part of our employer offering we offer industry sector fairs and panels.
This may be as part of our Workfest series or standalone.
We are always looking for employers who are willing to share their knowledge, experience, hints and tips to help our students and graduates make the right decisions and applications.
Our students and academics really value industry engagement in the curriculum.
Help us shape the curriculum and start a conversation with talented future graduates.
For example, employers can input into the design of a module, co-deliver a lecture, give CV and assessment advice or give feedback on students' dissertations.
Business Buses (Temporarily suspended during COVID-19)
Open your office doors as part of our Business Bus tours, giving a small group of students ‘real deal’ insights into your organisation, its values and culture.
It’s a great opportunity for them to develop employer connections and gain confidence about working life.
Digital Promotion and Sponsorship
How about standing out from the crowd using one of our sponsored promotional tools?
You can engage with our students virtually through targeted emails, a feature in our weekly careers newsletter or the BSU student magazine, 'SPACE', our Facebook or Twitter pages and digital screens on campus.
You can also support the skills development of the future workforce by sponsoring an employability event such as our sector-specific fairs or our employability award, the Bath Spa Award.
