Let us help you benefit from our student and graduate talent pools. Our students can inject new ways of thinking, supply enterprising ideas, and add value to your organisation.
There are various ways to engage with our undergraduate and graduate community to promote your organisation and its opportunities. Throughout the year, we run a number of events for you to come on to campus to meet our students.
Alternatively, you can post a job directly onto our online jobs portal MyCareer.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please get in contact with us at email@example.com.
What we offer
Careers and Opportunities Fair
Previously: Thursday 25 October, 11am-2.30pm
Our Careers and Opportunities Fair provides an excellent opportunity to boost your profile, meet our students and find potential recruits. We offer space for 50 stands, attracting up to 1,000 students in a few hours, as part of the largest careers event we currently offer.
We welcome a range of companies, representing a variety of sectors. Exhibitors attend to promote graduate vacancies, internships, placements, part-time roles and postgraduate courses.
The event is marketed to Bath Spa University students from all years and disciplines, including those based at our partner institutions in the region. As we encourage early consideration of career pathways, you can expect those in the first year through to their final year to attend. Our graduates are also welcome.
Bookings for this year's event are now closed. Please check back in the spring term to book for 2019 events.
Employer in the Foyer
With over 1,000 square metres of learning facilities, the Commons building foyer is a high-footfall, central location in which you can host a stand and promote your opportunities. This drop-in format avoids clashes with lectures and helps to raise brand awareness.
Presentations and employer-led sessions
Share your expertise by running a session on your recruitment process and what it’s like to work in your organisation, or run mock interviews or an assessment centre. Not only does this generate interest among our students, it also influences the quality of your future applications.
Sector-specific networking events
Raise awareness of your industry and the varied pathways within your sector. This will encourage students to decide on a career path. Come and get involved; network with our students, academics and other similar organisations within your industry.
Targeted emails, advertising and virtual promotion to students
If you want to broaden your reach or improve diversity but don’t have the time or resources to visit every university, why not engage with our students through our virtual initiatives?
We can help you to raise your profile and support your recruitment needs by engaging virtually with our students – through real-time chat platforms, Skype presentations, or our online jobs portal – or you can use some of our digital promotion tools, such as targeted emails, our Facebook or Twitter pages, a feature on our e-newsletter, student magazine, SPACE, and digital screens on campus.
If you'd like further information on any of the above initiatives (or opportunities to engage face-to-face) please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Post a job
If you're looking for a graduate to join your organisation or a student for part-time work, all you need to do is register on our MyCareer portal, upload the details of your vacancy, and we'll do the rest, including advising you of the optimum timelines for engaging with our students.
This is a free service to employers, and your vacancies will be viewed by all our students and graduates, maximising your opportunity to attract the most talented individuals.
"[The students are] ambitious, they're engaging, they're asking questions... I would definitely recommend it; we're definitely going to be here next year."Erin O'Sullivan, graduatejobs.com
