What we offer
Employer in the Foyer
With over 1,000 square metres of learning facilities, foyer in our Commons building is a high-footfall, central location in which you can distribute your marketing materials to promote your organisation and available job opportunities. This drop-in format provides a more informal one-to-one interaction and helps to capture a wider range of students.
Presentations and employer-led sessions
Share your expertise by running a session on your recruitment process and what it’s like to work in your organisation. Delivering a mock interview or assessment centre session is also another way of generating interest among our students and influencing the quality of your future applications.
Sector-specific careers fairs
For the 2019/20 academic year, rather than hosting one general Careers and Opportunities Fair, we will be running multiple sector-specific fairs, which will take place at various points throughout the year.
Get ahead of the competition by identifying and recruiting fresh talent through these targeted recruitment events.
Sector Insights – panel events, speed networking and portfolio one-to-ones
Share your expert advice and knowledge, supporting the next generation of industry professionals to ‘bridge the gap’ between university and employment. Network with our students, academics and other similar organisations within your industry.
Open your office doors as part of our Business Bus tours, giving students the ‘real deal’ insight into your organisation and an opportunity for them to develop employer connections.
Broaden your reach while also supporting the skills development of the future workforce by sponsoring an employability event such as one of our sector-specific fairs or our employability award, the Bath Spa Award.
Targeted emails, advertising and virtual promotion to students
If time or resources are lacking, but you want to broaden your reach or improve diversity, why not engage with our students virtually?
Through Google Meet presentations or our online jobs portal, you can still reach our students. You can also use our digital promotion tools, such as targeted emails; our Facebook or Twitter pages; a feature in our weekly careers newsletter; student magazine, SPACE; and digital screens on campus.
Post a job
Register on our MyCareer portal, upload the details of your vacancy, and we'll do the rest – including advising you of the optimum timelines for engaging with our students.
This is a free service for employers, and your vacancies will be accessible to all of our students and graduates, maximising your opportunity to attract the most talented individuals.
"[The students are] ambitious, they're engaging, they're asking questions... I would definitely recommend it; we're definitely going to be here next year."Erin O'Sullivan, graduatejobs.com
