This course offers an introduction to specialist embroidery machines and fabric manipulation processes. You'll learn quick textile printing techniques using a heat press, and leave the course with your own experimental embroidered and printed fabric samples, or a finished artwork.
Places are limited to ensure that each individual is given one-to-one attention and can access the space and equipment necessary to benefit from the course.

About your tutor
Anna Gravelle is a textile artist and designer and Associate Lecturer. Working with craft and digital processes, Anna creates luxurious textile artworks alongside interior fabrics and accessories, using tufted embroidery and printed pattern.
Anna sells her work at notable trade fairs and exhibitions including the London Design Festival and London Craft Week.
Anna studied an MA in Textile Design at Bath Spa University before establishing her eponymous business in 2013. She's also a member of the prestigious 62 Group of Textile Artists.
The course will take place at Sion Hill campus in Sion Hill's Embroidery Room.
The fee for this course will be updated here soon. The fee for the programme in July 2019 was £190, inclusive of materials.
What to bring
Please wear old clothing and closed footwear (no open sandals), and if you have long hair, this must be tied back for safety reasons.
You can bring your own lunch, or eat at Café Sion. Light refreshments are provided.
