In Between Sea and Shore

The sixth annual Bath Spa Porthleven Prize exhibition, 'In Between Sea and Shore', opens on 9 March with a ‘Meet the Artists’ event on 16 March, 2.00pm - 4.00pm at the Ship Inn, Porthleven, Cornwall.

 

The exhibition presents the work of seven students who each were awarded a fully-funded artist residency at the Old Lifeboat House art studio in Porthleven, Cornwall, which they undertook in May 2018 as part of the Bath Spa Porthleven Prize. This year's exhibition includes work by Prize winners Poppy Briggs, Lyon Hansen, Alex Mah, Mariana Marcelino, Katie Sims, James Thornton and Deborah Westmancoat.

 

The Bath Spa Porthleven Prize is an opportunity for Bath Spa students to take part in a fully-funded ten day residency based in the Cornish Studio. Whilst there, the students work together to produce a body of work in any discipline they choose, including film, sound, sculpture, and visual art.

 

The exhibition will remain at The Old Lifeboat House, Porthleven until 17 March 2019 and is open to the public from 9.00am - 5.00pm. The exhibition will then continue at Drawing Projects UK, Trowbridge from 2-18 May.
