Wen Hsi Harman: Drawing Through Clay

Wednesday 20 June, 2018 – Saturday 30 June, 2018
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Sion Hill Campus Gallery, Sion Hill, Bath, BA1 5SF

Wen-Hsi Harman, PhD student in Ceramics, opens an exhibition of drawings at Sion Hill Gallery this week.

The drawings are the result of cultural exchanges; nine of them were created by 41 students at the National Taiwan University of the Arts. They explore Taiwanese cultural identity (Taiwanese bubble tea, temples, Taipei 101 and a Taiwanese bear), and were created as part of a project run by Wen-Hsi with £500 of GALA funding, at the department of crafts and design in Taiwan.

The exhibition also features a further nine drawings, created by Wen-Hsi during a co-operative project called "Cross-cultural identity through clay", an artist residency in the Bundanon Trust in Australia, in collaboration with British artist Martin Harman in 2017.

The exhibition opens Wednesday 20 June to Saturday 30 June (10am - 5pm daily).
