Practice-led PhD ceramics student Wen-Hsi Harman opens a solo exhibition at HOURS gallery in Bristol on 9 February.
Meditative Clay showcases Wen Hsi's series of ceramic works based on handmade sculptural porcelain spoons, fingerprints, bananas, and traditional Chinese characters, in order to explore through clay the tensions of cross-cultural identity between the East and West.
The exhibition opens with a launch event on Friday 9 February (6-9pm) and will be on display through the following weekend (10 and 11 February). Additional viewings can be made by arrangement until 28 February.
