Bath School of Art and Design MA Degree Show 2018Thursday, 2 August, 2018
Bath Spa University will be showcasing the work of its postgraduate students in art and design at the annual Bath School of Art and Design MA Degree Show, taking place at the Sion Hill campus from Saturday 22 to Wednesday 26 September.
On exhibition will be a comprehensive selection of work by students graduating with Masters degrees in Ceramics, Curatorial Practice, Fashion and Textiles, Fine Art and Visual Communications.
Professor Anita Taylor, Executive Dean of Bath School of Art and Design, said: “We have an incredible range of creative talent on our MA courses and we are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of each of our students. The Degree Show provides a wonderful showcase to celebrate the array of original, innovative work made by these artists, curators, and designers, during their postgraduate study here.”
The MA Degree Show cohort includes professional artists, curators, and designers, who have chosen to study at Bath Spa University to further enhance their skills, knowledge, and approach to their practice. Many have already been selected to participate in national and international exhibitions, projects, workshops, and to undertake substantial commissions.
Supported by the University’s Enterprise Showcase Fund and Travel Fund, MA Fine Art students Deborah Westmancoat and Fiona Campbell recently took part in Manifesta 12: Ingruttati Palermo, a prestigious 10-day international art workshop in Palermo. The project Planetary Garden saw the pair join a group of international artists, geographers, urban landscape architects, and fellow students, to explore the extraordinary hidden underground networks of the waterways.
The MA Degree Show, which is free to attend, will be open to the public from 9:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 22 to Wednesday 26 September, at the University’s Sion Hill campus.
