Personal statement
Lucy has a diverse portfolio of environmental research experience including sustainable fisheries, marine protected areas, environmental citizen science, plastic pollution and invasive species management.
Her research focuses on the role of people in environmental issues, combining biological and social research to explore issues including community co-management, environmental behaviour change and sustainable consumption.
A specialist in science communication, Lucy is passionate about making research and environmental evidence accessible and engaging to a wide range of audiences. She has significant experience engaging the public, policy makers and the media with environmental research, previously leading the Marine Stewardship Council's Science Communications team.
In addition to working at Bath Spa, she works as an independent research consultant, helping environmental NGOs and policy bodies evaluate and demonstrate the impact of their programmes.
Academic qualifications
