Personal statement

I work as the Senior Planning Officer for BSU. Originally, I worked at HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England) as a Data Analyst looking at university funding. After this I worked at UWE as a Planning Partner and until recently at Cardiff University working as a Senior Planning Officer. My background is in social research, so I have a good grasp of data and how it can be used to inform decision making as well as used to improve the performance of the University.

My main areas of work are supporting the development and monitoring of the main KPIs as part of the Strategy 2020, benchmarking, as well as monitoring league table performance. My role includes providing analysis and advice to senior management, helping with statutory data returns, student number planning, as well as fee setting. As you can see it’s quite a varied role. No two days will be the same, something I really like about the role as well as the chance to meet so many colleagues across the University. I’m really looking forward to getting going, so please do feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions or data queries.

Academic qualifications
