Artist's statement

My work is to provide a connection to British pre-christian spiritual past, and to evolve from the culture of mass consumerism and exploitation present since the industrial revolution. This is set to reach its zenith via automation, and now people are set to be excess to requirements, and work will no longer be the main focus of life.

I recreate my spiritual vision with satellite images from marks in the ground at Stonehenge, captured by automatic drawing, using video as the cauldron of inspiration to explore, encourage questioning, and document changes in meaning. I search for esoteric symbols found in the ancient landscape, and I create unity from divide and conquer, and enquire why the accumulation of money and status takes us toward extinction. Through my work, I seek to decipher the message transmitted from our ancestors.
