Course studied: BA (Hons) Three Dimensional (3D) Design
Graduating year: 2013
Job: Resident product designer and researcher at Fabrica.
Daniel Rous is an Industrial Designer from the UK, a graduate of Idea Material Object in 2013. He is currently a resident product designer and researcher at Fabrica in Treviso, Italy. Before moving to Italy, he was in London between Architectural, Interior and Product design practices.
During his time in Fabrica Daniel has worked with large and small organisations, from the massive champagne Maison of Veuve Clicquot to the small local furniture producers in the furniture district.
Since leaving Bath I have spent some time freelancing in London and subsequently, almost two years ago, moved to Italy to work for the design research centre — Fabrica. For any graduates who want to explore the Italian life and be pushed creatively you should apply!
I'm in a position where I am exposed to a broad spectrum of creatives, sharing and collaborating together on a variety of projects. I work internationally with people from all over Europe and further parts of the world, everyone brings their own twist and opinion.
My course, Idea Material Object, helped form my view on design and the type of work I wanted to immerse myself in. Over the three years I met a variety of inspiring design characters, each with their own experience and a readiness to share them with us.
