Imme's international experience

I thought the MA Creative Writing programme looked really good, better than all the other MA programmes I had seen, and I was told by different people that Bath would be a beautiful city to live in.

Since moving to Bath, I would describe Bath Spa University in three words as creative, challenging, cosy. Once I have my degree I am hoping to become a novelist!

"I was attracted to this course by the way it was described as being 'imaginative,' the residential writing weekend, the context modules, the authors (especially Philip Pullman) which had given lectures at Bath Spa University."

Why did you decide to study in the UK at Bath Spa University?

I thought the MA Creative Writing programme looked really good, better than all the other MA programmes I had seen. I was attracted to this course by the way it was described as being 'imaginative', the residential writing weekend, the context modules, the authors (especially Philip Pullman) which had given lectures at Bath Spa University. I saw published novels by Bath Spa's Creative Writing graduates in book shops.

I was also told by different people that Bath would be a beautiful city to live in.

What is your advice to other international students considering studying at Bath Spa University?

The advice I would give to other students who want to study in the UK is - please do, it's brilliant! Organise finding a room and sort your finances ahead of time, so you can start your studies without feeling too stressed. Also, I found joining the International Students Facebook group really helpful to ask questions and to find new friends in Bath.

The best thing about Bath Spa University?

It's creative, challenging and cosy.
